I was a jellyfish while writing the song “August” in the midst of mourning the loss of someone who took his own life—someone of the ones who raised me.
Jellyfish use their bells to create a wall of water to push off so that they can propel themselves through the current.
This song was my bell. Writing it was like pushing off of something raw and fluid, giving my grief movement. Giving me the sense of stability while I was out to sea.
The video touches on grief, dissociation, the magnification of the mundane in such times, and the healing power of nature.

The Sublime Force of Water Video #2
This song was inspired by eco-anxiety and the process of awakening. The video narrative was inspired by social anxiety and the process of awakening. This was never trying to be a high-dollar production. Though, I did hope to share some joy with my friends while working to make it and to bring some laughter to our friends who watch it.
WDATWG is the second music video of a series titled "The Sublime Force of Water," which comprises self-produced songs via learning LOGIC PRO and is a first solo record endeavor.
